On 29 June 2018, the Council of Young Scientists of the Department of Humanities and Arts of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus held an expert round table "Belarusian Statehood: Historical Concept and Ideology" timed to the Independence Day of the Republic of Belarus. At the scientific event, expert opinions were heard from both the already well-known researchers and young scientists. Representatives of the analytical group of the Republican Public Association "Belaya Rus" showed interest in the expert discussion.

Philosophical, historical, ideological and theoretical problems of formation of national identity of Belarusians, trends in the formulation of ideology in the modern world, preserving the historical memory of the Belarusian people as the foundation of statehood, scientific concept of the history of Belarusian statehood and mechanisms of consolidation of the Belarusian society were considered at the round table discussion.

The result of constructive discussions of experts was the recognition of the need to continue researching the Belarusian statehood in an interdisciplinary manner, to develop socio-political models for the future of the Belarusian state on the principle of historicism and to strengthen the interaction of scientists with public organizations and associations.
