On 12 October 2018, the International Scientific Conference "Fundamental and Applied Research to Medicine" was held at the Institute of Physiology of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus with the support of the NASB Department of Medical Sciences and the Belarusian Society of Physiologists. It was dedicated to the 65th anniversary of the NASB Institute of Physiology.

About a hundred scientists and clinicians from research institutes, research and practical centers, educational and health care institutions from our country as well as participants from the Republic of Bulgaria, Ukraine, the Republic of Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, the Republic of Moldova, the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Russian Federation and the Republic of Lithuania took part at the event.

Scientific reports looked into both fundamental and current applied biomedical issues of diagnosis and treatment of socially significant diseases.
