On 25 January 2019 (Friday), a republican meeting of the scientific community dedicated to the Day of Belarusian Science will be held in the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. The event is supposed to bring together about five hundred representatives of academic, university and industry science, young scientists, heads of ministries, departments, and higher educational institutions of the Republic of Belarus. Grigory Rapota, State Secretary of the Union State, will take part in the celebrations.

The best Belarusian scientists and researchers will be awarded including the NASB representatives: the winner of the title Scientist of the Year Academician Nikolai Kazak, the winners of Tоp-10 Results of the NASB scientists in 2018 in fundamental and applied research, and young scientists who are the winners of the Prizes of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and the Foundation for Education and Science (Alferov Foundation).

An exhibition of scientific achievements of the Republic of Belarus will work from 9.00am. Belarusian scientists and researchers will present more than 220 new innovative and scientific developments. The exhibition is also supposed to demonstrate effective implementation of the state scientific, research programs, and ongoing work for strengthening ties between science and production.
