On 31 January 2019, the NAS of Belarus hosted a meeting with the Belarusian representatives of the government customers of the Union State programs and events in the areas of defense, security, law enforcement, military-technical cooperation and defense industry. Grigory Rapota, the State Secretary of the Union State, took part in the meeting.

The preliminary results of projects implementation in 2018 were summed up and the preparation of draft concepts of new Union State programs and activities were considered during the meeting. Belarusian-Russian scientific, technical and military-technical cooperation were also discussed. The event was attended by representatives of law enforcement agencies of the Republic of Belarus, ministries of industry, economy, finance, education, Belneftekhim concern, the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, State Committee for standardization and the Standing Committee of the Union State.
