On 27 June 2019, the Institute of Economics of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus will hold a roundtable session "Socio-economic development of Belarus: from scientific ideas of the Belarusian Republican economic school to the national idea" timed to the Day of the Economist (30 June).
It is planned to discuss the ideas of leading Belarusian scientists, representatives of government bodies and institutions of higher education to improve economic regulation, the development of the business environment, economic activities, aimed at achieving a country's GDP of $ 100 billion.
The main roundtable’s objective is to identify opportunities, sources and constraints of socio-economic development of Belarus and to develop a set of methodological and practical measures of social, macroeconomic, foreign economic, industrial and innovation policies to ensure sustainable growth and high competitiveness of the Belarusian economy.
The session will be attended by representatives of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Belarus, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Belarus, leading research organizations and institutions of higher education, including the Center for System Analysis and Strategic Studies of the NAS of Belarus, the Institute of Economics of the NAS of Belarus, the Belarusian State University, the Belarusian State Economic University, the Academy of Public Administration under the aegis of the President of the Republic of Belarus, the Belarusian National Technical University, Polessky State University and other organizations. More than 50 experts will participate in the roundtable session. It is supposed the Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Academician, Doctor of Economics, Professor Vladimir Gusakov and the First Vice-Minister of Economy of the Republic of Belarus, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor Alexander Chervyakov to address the participants of the roundtable session.
