On 19 December 2019, the National Academy of Sciences hosted a meeting of the Bureau of the Inter-Academic Council for the development of the Union State, a meeting of the Commission on the formation of a single scientific and technological space of the Union State, and a meeting of the Expert Council for the award of the Union State Prize in science and technology. The delegation of the Russian Federation includes First Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Grigory Trubnikov, Vice President of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Chairman of the Siberian branch of the RAS Valentin Parmon, Vice President of the Russian Academy of Sciences Irina Donnik, Director of the Institute of Problems of Chemical Physics of the Russian Academy of Sciences Sergey Aldoshin, and others.
New draft concepts of joint scientific and technical programs have been discussed at the meeting of the Commission on the formation of a single scientific and technological space of the Union State. The Chairman of the NASB Presidium Vladimir Gusakov met with representatives of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation and the Russian Academy of Sciences to discuss prospects and mechanisms of Belarusian-Russian cooperation. There was also a meeting of the Vice President of the Russian Academy of Sciences Irina Donnik and the Deputy Chairman of the Presidium of the NAS of Belarus Petr Kazakevich.
On 19 December 2019, a joint Russian-Belarusian working group has started drafting promising Union State programs and working on developing cooperation between organizations and enterprises of Roscosmos State Corporation and the NAS of Belarus.
