Institute of Philosophy of the NASB Develops and Patents Two Utility Models

The Institute of Philosophy of the NASB developed and patented two utility models: a device for muscle training named «Power Hoop» and a multi-functional device for dynamic and isometric exercises. The devices are intended for special physical training of combat athletes in striking and throwing sports, as well as for development of muscles participating in throwing movements, and for general physical development in mass sports. An independent application of the multi-functional device for dynamic and isometric exercises is rehabilitation and therapeutic physical training.

The devices were developed by Ivan Skiba, a postgraduate student of the Institute of Philosophy and Candidate Master of Sports in Thai boxing and Master of Pedagogy. Ivan Skiba has been developing innovative training devices and methodology of sport perfection for more than 7 years. Both devices are unique in their own way. The Power Hoop is simple and has a friendly design, at the same time ensuring the most efficient muscle group work and working actions for strikes, throws and other competitive movements. The multi-functional device for dynamic and isometric exercises provides simultaneous combination of individually set training load and high safety level for the exerciser.

The Institute of Philosophy of the NASB own the rights to the patent.

The Institute directorate, together with the author, are actively generating the methodology of implementation of the device into the sport and trailing activities of both state and commercial organizations rendering health and fitness services. The patented device expertise is also planned to ensure their implementation into the rehabilitation and therapeutic physical training.
