On February 20, 2021, the awards ceremony for the winners of the 60th national competition “The Art of the Book” took place. The books of publishing house “Belaruskaya Navuka” received 6 awards at once. Thus, in the special nomination “For the contribution to the preservation of the spiritual and historical and cultural heritage”, the large-scale popular science publication “The Republic of Belarus – 25 Years of Creations and Achievements” (in 7 volumes) dedicated to modern Belarus was awarded. In the thematic category “Science and Knowledge” the victory was awarded to the five-volume “History of Belarusian Statehood”. The book “Wooden Christian construction of churches in Belarus” was awarded a diploma of the 2nd degree in the nomination of “Spirituality”. Also, the 2nd degree diploma was awarded to the publication “People’s chronicle of the Eastern Front of World War II: we will remember everyone!” (Book 1) in the nomination “Belarus Remembers”. The 1st degree diploma in the “Commonwealth” nomination was awarded to the publication “And I was there…” (series “From the folk-poetic heritage”). In the nomination “Golden Tablets” a diploma of the 2nd degree was awarded for the book “The gene pool of fruit and berry plants of Belarus: an atlas of varieties of fruit, berry, nut crops and grapes”.

The national competition “The Art of the Book” is held by the Ministry of Information to determine the best publishing projects, which have become an event in the national book publishing, to increase the artistic and printing culture of the Belarusian book. It is also called upon to contribute to the development of book art, popularization of the best achievements of publishing houses in Belarus. The awards ceremony took place at the 28th Minsk International Book Fair.
