Six young scientists of the NASB became the winners of the 10th Republican Youth BRSM (Belarusian Republican Youth Union) project “100 ideas for Belarus”.

In the nomination “Chemical Technologies, Petrochemistry” the best was Veranika Shchur (Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry of National Academy of Sciences of Belarus) with the project “Technologies for the Synthesis of Artificial Genes” and Andrey Sumich (Institute of General and Inorganic Chemistry of National Academy of Sciences of Belarus) with the project “New Approach to Obtaining Detergents”.

In the nomination “Bio and Nano industry” the winner was the project “Biopreparation Multiphag-C for protecting tomato from bacteriosis” by Palina Arlouskaya (Institute of Microbiology of National Academy of Sciences of Belarus).

In the nomination “Agroindustrial technologies and production” the strongest of all was Maxim Kuchvalsky (Institute of Experimental Veterinary Medicine S. N. Vyshelessky of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus) with the project “Diagnostics of the marker of latent tuberculosis”.

Alyona Stanchyk (SSPA “Scientific-Practical Materials Research Centre of the NAS of Belarus) won in the category “Energy, including nuclear power and energy efficiency” with the project “New Generation Plastic Solar Cells”.

Ryhor Nikalaeu (The United Institute of Informatics Problems of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus) with the project “Creation of a generative competitive neural network for the development of HIV-1 inhibitors” became the winner in the nomination “Information-Innovative and Space Technologies”.

The final of the 10th Republican Youth BRSM project “100 ideas for Belarus” was held on February 24 at the President Hotel in Minsk. The winners in the final were determined in two age groups (among pupils, students and working youth) in 10 nominations. In total, in the 10th season, the organizing committee of the competition received more than 1.2 thousand application. In October-November 2020, the district (80) and zonal qualifying stages were held, in December – the regional (6) and Minsk city, the qualifying round of the NAS of Belarus.
