The Round table dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant was held at the NAS of Belarus

On April 23, 2021, the Round table dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant.

A number of problems related to overcoming the consequences of the disaster where discussed: medical and biological consequences in Belarus, the pecularitirs of agricultural production on radioactive contaminated lands in the distant after the Chernobyl accident, the functioning of forest ecosystems in the zone of radioactive contamination.

The post-accident dynamics of the biodiversity of the vegetation cover in the Belarusian sector of the 30 km zone near the CNPP, the development of topical research areas of the animal word on the territory of the Polesie State radiationecological reserve were not ignored. Scientific reports were presented on such problems on the social-economic consequences of the Chernobyl disaster for Belarus (35 years after it); Belarusian statehood in the tests of the Chernobyl disaster (1986-1991), the tragedy of the Chernobyl and its reflection in Belarussian literature. Leading scientists and specialists of the Academy of Sciences took part in the work of the Round table.
