More than 40 organizations of the NAS of Belarus will take part in the 31st International Specialized Exhibition “BELAGRO-2021”. In total, scientists and specialists of the Academy of Sciences will demonstrate over 150 innovative developments in technology.
This year the exposition will be held under the motto “Science for life. Technologies for people”. It will be located on an open (over 750 sq. M.) and covered (over 250 sq. M.) exhibition area. The exposition includes somatic blocks: “Biotechnology for Agriculture”, “Digital Farming”, “Technologies and Equipment for Livestock Breeding”, “Food Security”.
A number of the latest developments of scientists will be presented at the “BELAGRO-2021”.
The RUE “Scientific and Practical Center of the NAS of Belarus for Agricultural Mechanization” with the SSI “The United Institute of Informatics Problems of the NAS of Belarus” will demonstrate an automatic controlled mounted system (ACMS) for monitoring the protective zone of cultivated plants during in inter-row processing of sugar beets. Developed in order to improve the quality of inter-row processing of the vision system based on the use of artificial neural networks of deep learning capable of accurately determining the leaves of sugar beet, and specially developed algorithm identifies the center of the row spacing-directs the movable part of the cultivator in the right direction to level in inaccuracies during the tractor. Another novelty from the RUE “Scientific and Practical Center of the NAS of Belarus for Agricultural Mechanization” is a software and hardware complex for the identification and control of the physiological state of animals. A special device is attached to the collar of the animal. The information is transmitted to the main device. Range up to 1 km. This transmitter weighs 150 g, which is completely invisible to the animal. The complex is designed to provide centralized computer accounting and systematization of parameters, control over the physiological indicators of each animal in the herd, group them according to different indicators, track the dynamics of the influence of factors and measures.
The Holstein breed of dairy animal of domestic selection has been bred in the RUE “Scientific and Practical Center of the NAS of Belarus for Animal Husbandry”. Possessing excellent productive qualities, animals of the Holstein breed of domestic selection of a specialized dairy type of distinguished by a number of specific economic and biological characteristics. For example, for every 100 kg of live weighed, they are capable of producing 1500 kg of milk.
The RUE “Scientific and Practical Center of the NAS of Belarus for Arable Farming” will demonstrate in the framework of the exhibition the seeds of new varieties of the main agricultural crops created by agricultural scientists on the basis of the center. This year 11 varieties of grain crops (winter and spring) are presented, as well as 1 variety of winter rape, approved for use in the Republic of Belarus since 2021. New varieties of spring barley (Vedmak, Deva, Kornet), winter rye (Cameya 16), winter triticale (Athlete 17, Grodno), spring triticale (Novoye), spring wheat (Vienna, Vestochka 17), winter wheat (Velena) have potential with a yield of up to 120 centners per hectare, is characterized by high quality grain, resistance to bedding, diseases, tolerance to abiotic stress factors.
The RUE “Scientific and Practical Center of the NAS of Belarus for Potato, Fruit and Vegetable Growing” just last year developed 10 new varieties and hybrids: 3 varieties of potatoes (Desyatka, Boyarsky, Sapfir); new varieties of cherries – Byelitsa, remontant raspberries – Syentyabrskaya, peaches – Loyka; hybrids of white cabbage – Sansara, onions – Tuteyshiya, tomatoes – Zubrionak, cucumbers – Pachastunak. In 2020, 11 are included in the State Register of varieties: 2 – potatoes (Rubin, Karsan), 2 – purple apple trees (Veras, Karunak - decorative), 2 – peers (Viliya, Kupala), 1 – home plum (Volat), 1 – cherry plum (Vetrz - 2), 2 – cherries (Nyesvizhskaya, Minchanka), 1 – glog (Svayak). Also, amendments have been developed to the technological regulations for the processing of apple trees, home plums and sweet cherries; section in recommendations on the introduction of complex fertilizers when growing potatoes, the technology of preserving food potatoes using equipment of the fifth technological order.
Scientific and technological park “BelBiograd” will present at the “BELAGRO-2021” exhibition a new organic fertilizer for all types of agricultural crops (liquid concentrate), designed to increase yields and restored soil yields. The yield, depending on the crop, gives an increase of 10 to 20% per hectare.
The SSI “the Institute of Microbiology of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus”, which has been cooperating with agricultural enterprises of the country for many years, will demonstrate of the “BELAGRO-2021” exhibition, among other novelties, a complex microbial preparation BIOPRODUCTIN to improve the phytosanitary state of crops, increase the productivity of grain crops, and increase the biological activity of the soil. The action of bacteria in the composition of the preparation is not only aimed at improving the phytosanitary state of grain crops, accelerating the processes of mineralization of plant residues, renewing soil microbiocenoses, improving phosphorus and nitrogen nutrition of plants, but also allows reducing the frequency of fungicide treatments, reducing doses of mineral fertilizers, increasing the productivity of grain crops by 10%. Another novelty is the microbial preparation BIOKIT for cleaning aqueous solutions from acids and toluene. The efficiency of cleaning aqueous solutions from assets is 75-99%, toluene 80-100%, depending on the concentration of toxins. The degree of purification of multicomponent effluents containing xylene, toluene and related substances is 80-95%. The use of a microbial preparation and absorption-biochemical plants allows reducing material costs and risks of occupational diseases of employees involved in hazardous industries, as well as preventing environmental damage from emissions of highly toxic compounds into the atmosphere.
The SE “Center of Led and Optoelectronic Technologies of the NAS of Belarus” will present a multi-tiered training phyto-installation of a rack type, designed to control the light period by extending natural daylight hours using artificial lighting (photoperiodic lighting), as well as to completely replace daylight with artificial lighting (growing without daylight).
The 31st International Specialized Exhibition “BELAGRO-202” will be held at the new site of the exhibition center of the Chinese Belarusian industrial park “Great Stone” as part of the Belarusian Agro-Industrial Week from 1 to 5 June 2021. More than 410 companies will take part in the exhibition, which will present agricultural products, equipment and machinery from 16 countries of the world.
