     This was announced on May 20, 2021 by the Chairman of the Presidium of the NAS of Belarus Vladimir Gusakov, during a meeting with a delegation of heads and teachers of educational institutions in Minsk. As Vladimir Gusakov noted, “we give priority to working with youth. An important direction for the future is working with students. We still hold popular science lectures, master classes for gifted schoolchildren on an ongoing basis, schools for young researchers work, and visits to research organizations are also organized. It is important to reach a new level when identifying the accompaniment of talented researchers starting from the school desk. In this regard, we set the task of creating a network of “academic” schools, gymnasiums and lyceums”. The Chairman of the Academy of Sciences noted that many schoolchildren are very interested in research activities. And it is important not to miss the moment, so that in the future young people will devote themselves to great science.

     As it was emphasized at the meeting, the main component of the youth policy of the Academy of Sciences is the Council of Young Scientists – a permanent public body of the Presidium of National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. All the necessary conditions for scientific and creative growth have been created for young people at the Academy of Sciences. The main thing is that young scientists get a chance to take their rightful place in any scientific and scientific-production organization on the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.

     On May 20, 2021 the NAS of Belarus visited a delegation of heads and teachers of educational institutions in Minsk. During the meeting, specific steps were developed to build further systemic cooperation between secondary education organizations in the field of research work of students and teachers.

     The guests visited the permanent exhibition of the NAS of Belarus “Achievements of national science – production” and the Museum of history of the NAS of Belarus.
