On July 1, 2021, 2 p.m. at the Institute of History of the NAS of Belarus, a round table “Humanitarian Science - to the Belarusian society” will be held, dedicated to the Independence Day of the Republic of Belarus. The event will be attended by representatives of scientific organizations of the Department of Humanities and Arts of the NAS of Belarus, leading humanities scientists of the country.
Over the years of independence of our country, humanitarians have significantly intensified scientific research aimed not only at covering the history of the Belarusian people, but also at strengthening interethnic and interfaith relations, developing culture in strengthening the Belarusian statehood. In 2016-2020, the institutions of the Department of Humanities and Arts of the NAS of Belarus obtained a number of original scientific results that were demanded by the Belarusian society. This goal was served by the state program at scientific research “Economy and Humanitarian Development of the Belarusian Society” complete it in 2020, which made it possible to combine the efforts of academic scientists and researchers from the country’s universities. During the implementation of the program, such fundamental publications as «Беларусы», «Гарады і вёскі Беларусі», «Нарысы гісторыі культуры», «Арфаэпічны слоўнік беларускай мовы», «Вклад белорусского народа в Победу в Великой Отечественной войне», «Страна в огне», first in Europe «Вялікі гістарычны атлас», first and single 37-volume «Гістарычны слоўнік беларускай мовы», original publications «История белорусской государственности», «Республика Беларусь 25 лет созидания и свершений». In 2016-2020, within the framework of the named program, the country’s humanities published more than 20,000 scientific works, of which almost 4500 were published in foreign scientific publications. 2066 book editions have been prepared and published, including 626 monographs, 248 reference books and encyclopedias, 403 collections of scientific works.
Since 2021, the work of scientists has been aimed at implementing a new state research program “Society and Humanitarian Security of the Belarusian State”.
