The International Conference "30 Years of the Commonwealth of Independent States: Results, Prospects" was held

More than 300 representatives of state authorities, CIS authorities, leading scientists and specialists, heads of the largest scientific and educational organizations of a number of states, including delegations from Belarus, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, representatives of the diplomatic corps took part in the International Scientific and Practical Conference "30 Years of the Commonwealth of Independent States: Results, Prospects", which took place on September 27-29, 2021.

The program of the forum included holding plenary sessions on the basis of the NAS of Belarus and the Executive Committee of the CIS, as well as holding section sessions. Answering journalists' questions, the Chairman of the Presidium of the NASB Vladimir Gusakov noted, that scientists from different countries came to Minsk to share their experience in various fields, “Ecology and climate –solving such issues requires a joint effort. The food problem is also relevant - there are still many people on the planet suffering from hunger. Coronavirus infection is also on the agenda: Chinese colleagues will talk about the development of their vaccine, prevention and control of the pandemic. We also have good practices and are ready to share our experience. We are all interested in electric transport, energy storage”.

Based on the results of the recommendations of the sections, it was decided to send them in full to the specialized authorities of sectoral cooperation for their practical implementation. As for the draft Resolution, it was adopted as a basis and will be finalized in the near future, taking into account the comments and suggestions made at the plenary session. After approval, the document will be sent to the CIS member states. The NASB will publish a collection of all reports and speeches, which will be used by interested departments in improving the activities of the CIS.
