A press conference was held on the preparation and holding of the III Forum of Scientists of the CIS Member States – 2021

On November 18, 2021, a press conference was held on the basis of the National Press Center of the Republic of Belarus on the topic: "On the preparation and holding of the III Forum of Scientists of the CIS Member States – 2021."

The event from the NASB was attended by: Sergey Yakovlevich Kilin, Deputy Chairman of the Presidium of the NASB, Academician of the NASB and Vityaz Petr Aleksandrovich - Head of the Staff of the NASB, Deputy Head of the International Association of Academies of Sciences (IAAS), Academician of the NASB.

As Sergei Yakovlevich Kilin said, “The forum will be opened on November 25 at 10.00. Further, a plenary session is envisaged, at which delegations on the development of science in the CIS countries will speak. Then three round tables are planned: "State and prospects for the development of fundamental science", "Improving scientific cooperation in the digital era", "Innovative scientific research". In coordination with the Forum, it is planned to hold the IX meeting of the Council for Cooperation in the Field of Fundamental Science of the CIS member states.

In turn, Vityaz Petr Aleksandrovich told reporters that the first Congress of Scientific Councils of the International Association of Academies of Sciences (IAAS) will also be held on November 25, 2021. He spoke about the activities of the councils, about the tasks facing the scientists of the CIS. At present, the IAAS has 24 scientific councils on the most topical areas of development of modern science. Following the results of the forum, it is planned to adopt a final declaration.
