National Academy of Sciences of Belarus named laureates of awards for young scientists in 2021

The Presidium of the NASB has summed up the results of the competition for awards for young scientists of the NASB in 2021.
</p>
<p align="justify">
     Based on the decisions of the Commission of the NASB on Prizes, it was decided to award the prize named after Academician Zh.I. Alferov for young scientists of the NASB in 2021:
</p>
<p align="justify">
    Vlasenko Svetlana Vladimirovna, Researcher of the State Scientific Institution "Institute of Physics named after B.I.Stepanov of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus", candidate of physical and mathematical sciences, – for the cycle of works "Optimization of diagnostic methods for nanostructures based on Fisher's information";
</p>
<p align="justify">
     Serokurova Alexandra Ivanovna, Senior Researcher of the State Research and Production Association "Scientific and Practical Center of the NASB for Materials Science", candidate of physical and mathematical sciences, – for the cycle of works "Development and synthesis of new multiferroid heterostructures with functional microwave characteristics, which are in demand for their practical application as new elements of the component base of magnonics and microelectronics."

The laureates of the Academician V.F. Kuprevich Prize for Young Scientists of the NASB in 2021 are:
</p>
<p align="justify">
     Pashkevich Lyubov Valerievna, Researcher of the State Scientific Institution "Institute of Biophysics and Cell Engineering of the NASB", – for the cycle of works "Investigation of molecular-membrane mechanisms of responses of spring barley plants to infection with the fungus Bipolaris sorokiniana Shoem., mediated by short-term hyperthermia and exogenous salicylate";

<p align="justify">
     Tokalchik Yulia Pavlovna, Senior Researcher of the State Scientific Institution "Institute of Physiology of the NASB", candidate of biological sciences, – for the cycle of works "Activation of reparative processes in damaged areas of the brain in conditions of perineural implantation of stem cells";
</p>
<p align="justify">
     Yatskiv Anna Andreevna, Researcher of the State Scientific Institution "Institute of Genetics and Cytology of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus", – for the cycle of works "Molecular variability of genes of the immune response in juvenile idiopathic arthritis in the child population of the Republic of Belarus."

<p align="justify">
The Prize named after Academician V.M. Ignatovsky for young scientists of the NASB will be awarded to Grinevich Yanina Igorevna, head of the sector of the state scientific institution "Center for Research of Belarusian Culture, Language and Literature of the NASB", candidate of philological sciences, – for the cycle of works "Song tradition of Belarusians in the modern Slavic world: study, preservation, actualization".
</p>
<p align="justify">
     The awards for young scientists of the NASB were established in 2019 in order to support and encourage talented young scientists working in organizations of the NASB, stimulate their creative initiative, strengthen human resources, perpetuate the memory of outstanding Belarusian scientists and popularize knowledge about the history of Belarusian science.
</p>
<p align="justify">
     The system of awards for young scientists includes three personalized awards:<br>
     the prize named after academician Zh.I. Alferov - in the field of physics, mathematics, computer science, physical-technical and technical sciences;<br>
     the prize named after Academician V.F. Kuprevich - in the field of biology, chemistry and earth sciences, medicine, agricultural sciences;<br>
     the prize named after Academician V.M. Ignatovsky - in the field of humanities and social sciences. The size of one premium is 15 base rates each.
