Young researchers were awarded at the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus

On January 21, 2022, the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus hosted a solemn ceremony of awarding the participants of the IX City Festival of Design and Research Works of Primary School Students “Knowledge and Creativity”.

More than 200 pupils of 2-4 grades of schools in Minsk, parents and teachers took part in it. The celebration was held within the framework of the Open Days program, which the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus holds in the context of festive events dedicated to the Day of Belarusian Science, the 100th anniversary of Belarusian academic science and the 100th anniversary of the Institute of Belarusian Culture (Inbelkult).

The festival is held annually on the initiative of the Minsk City Institute for the Development of Education with the active participation of the Council of Young Scientists of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and the organizational support of gymnasium No. 18 in Minsk. The purpose of the Festival is to create conditions for the formation of a sustainable interest in cognitive activity and scientific knowledge among primary school students in the process of educational, research and project activities, the identification and development of cognitive abilities, inclinations and interests of younger students. The festival was held among students of grades 2-4 of institutions of general secondary education in the capital.

In total, 262 educational and research works and projects of junior schoolchildren were presented at the festival "Cognition and Creativity" in such sections as: mathematics, physics, chemistry; biology, ecology, geography; history, local history; literature and art; technical creativity; hobbies and hobbies.
