The recent achievements of the Belarusian scientists were also introduced at the meetings of the section. Thus, the Republican Unitary Enterprise «Institute for Meat and Dairy Industry» of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus presented a whole line of its own innovative products, developed by the scientists. Among them are fermented dairy milk products of the high biological value. These products are based on a complex of probiotic microorganisms, made from the raw milk. There were also the dry milk products with reduced protein content, produced on the basis of permeate and cream for the children from 3 years of age; the milk and fermented milk products with a reduced lactose content for the people of all ages, both those who follow a low-lactose diet (after taking various medications) and healthy people. Among the novelties are the dry bacterial starters for the industrial production of the various dairy products (cottage cheese, yogurt, sour cream, cheese and others), dry mixes for making ice cream, etc.
Valery Goncharov, director of the Center for System Analysis and Strategic Research of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, spoke about the Belarusian experience in the development of the Science-Technology-Innovation system and also about the strategic prospects and topical solutions. Sergei Lysenko, director of the State Scientific Institution «Institute for Nature Management of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus» presented the new developments to improve the soil fertility in a changing climate.
