On February 18, 2022, the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, chaired by the Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus Vladimir Gusakov and State Secretary of the Union State Dmitry Mezentsev, held a meeting on publishing activities, printed works for the library of the magazine «Union State».

The meeting discussed the issue of launching a public project of Belarus and Russia to publish a series of books under the auspices of the Union State magazine, as well as the active participation of Belarusian historians, publishers, archivists, and literary critics in this work. As it was emphasized, the main task in the implementation of such a project will be the protection of the historical memory.
