The Academy of Sciences of Belarus established eight awards for the best scientific work in the following areas:
in the field of physical and mathematical sciences (one award);
in the field of information technology (one award);
in the field of physical, technical and technical sciences (one award);
in Chemical and Geosciences (one award);
in Biological Sciences (one award);
in the field of medical sciences (one award);
in the field of humanities and social sciences (one award);
in Agricultural Sciences (one award).

Candidates for the awards of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus can be citizens of the Republic of Belarus – Individual scientists or teams of scientists (no more than three people) who have published the results of research in monographs, series of articles in leading scientific journals, who have carried out developments, the practical implementation of which together reflects the decision of a significant scientific and / or practical problem.

The work put forward for the award of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus must be completed and its results published over the past five years. In special cases, it is allowed to include in the cycle earlier, the most important, thematically related publications and other research results. Abstracts and manuscripts of dissertations are not included in the competition materials.

Academicians and corresponding members of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (in their specialty), scientific and scientific and technical councils of organizations of the Academy of Sciences have the right to nominate works for the awards of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. The work can be put forward by the scientific or scientific and technical councils of other organizations of the Republic of Belarus, including institutions of higher education or their faculties, together with the scientific or scientific and technical council of the organization of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.

Organizations and individuals that have nominated candidates for the awards must submit a set of the following materials:
in case of nomination of the work by the organization - an extract from the meeting of the scientific (scientific and technical) council of the organization on the nomination of the work (cycle of works) with the substantiation of the significance of the results of the proposed work for science and practice. When a work is nominated by an organization of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus together with a scientific organization of the other departmental subordination or an institution of higher education, extracts from the meetings of the scientific (scientific and technical) councils of both organizations are submitted;
in case of nomination of a work by a member of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus - recommendation of an academician or corresponding member with justification of the significance of the results of the proposed work for science and practice;
the work put forward for the award: thematically related monographs, other book publications, copies of articles, patents, materials confirming the practical development of the results of the work, collectively reflecting the solution of a significant scientific and / or practical problem;
annotation of the work of about three pages of standard typewritten text, signed by the authors, including the following information: title of the work; full name, academic degree, title, position and place of work of each member of the team of authors; statement of the problem and its relevance, solutions, results obtained;
a brief annotation of the work in the Belarusian language, no more than a page, indicating the title of the work, full names, academic degrees, titles and place of work of the members of the group of authors (for works designed in Russian);
a brief statement of the results of the study (no more than 450 characters);
a certified list of publications included in the work and lists of works published by each author;
certificate of personal contribution of each member of the team of authors, signed by all co-authors of the work (cycle of works);
information about the author/authors (last name, first name, patronymic; date, month and year of birth; place of birth; education (which institution of higher education he graduated from and when), specialty by education; academic degree and academic title; position held indicating the place of work and year of entry into office; awards (with indication of the date of award); work in the past; main areas of scientific activity; total number of publications; management of graduate students and applicants; home and business addresses and telephones;
copy of 25, 31 – 33 pages of the passport of each member of the team of authors.

Materials with the inscription «For the award of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus in 2022» in one copy are submitted before October 1, 2022 to the department of prizes, scholarships and awards of the Main Directorate for Personnel and Personnel Policy of the Office of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus at the address: 220072, Minsk, Prospekt-Nezavisimosti, 66, room. 317, 406.
