On May 16, 2022, at 9:30 a.m., the Congress Hall of the President Hotel (18 Kirova St.) will host the 16th Minsk International Forum on Heat and Mass Transfer, dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the A.V. Lykov Institute of Heat and Mass Transfer of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.
This is a major international scientific event organized by the Institute every 4 years. This year, about 200 speakers from Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Israel and other countries will take part in it. The event will help to strengthen the cooperation in the scientific and technical field between scientists from around the world.
The forum, which will run on May 16-19, includes the plenary sessions, sections with the oral and poster presentation of reports (messages), round tables, lectures. The subject of the event is multifaceted and covers such topical scientific areas as: convective-radiative heat transfer; heat and mass transfer during phase and chemical transformations; heat and mass transfer in power engineering and technological processes. Thermal and transport processes in systems with nano- and microstructures, high-temperature heat and mass transfer, plasma systems and technologies, heat and mass transfer in the processes of synthesis of new materials, thermal control of optical and electronic systems, modeling and control of heat and mass transfer processes will be discussed.
Today the A.V. Lykov Institute of Heat and Mass Transfer of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus is the largest scientific institution in the republic that develops energy-efficient and environmentally friendly technologies and equipment, apparatus and instruments for the energy and mechanical engineering, agro-industrial complex and construction industry, medicine, chemical, electronic, radio engineering, food industry, space industry.
