On June 16, 2022, the X meeting of the Council for Cooperation in the Field of Fundamental Science of the Member States of the Commonwealth of Independent States was held.

The meeting was held in coordination with the IV Forum of Scientists of the CIS Member States, which is taking place in Bishkek. From the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Sergey Kilin, Deputy Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Co-Chairman of the Council for Cooperation in the Field of Fundamental Science of the CIS Member States, took part in the meeting via videoconference.

The participants of the meeting approved the Plan of the main activities for the development of cooperation in the field of fundamental science of the CIS member states for 2023–2024, discussed the creation of the network of the educational centers in the scientific institutions of the CIS member states to organize internships for the graduate students and the young scientists, approved the start of the development of the Science Development Strategy in the CIS and the formation of the Interstate Program for the Fundamental Research of the CIS Member States.

Also, following the results of the meeting, a member of the Council, President of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia A.S. Sagyan was elected Chairman of the Council for the Cooperation in the Field of Fundamental Science of the Member States of the Commonwealth of Independent States for another term. The President of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic M.S. Dzhumataev became the Co-Chairman of the Council.
