On October 13, 2022 at 16.00 a meeting of the scientific community dedicated to the Day of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus will be held.

It will be attended by the academicians, corresponding members, heads of the scientific organizations of the Academy of Sciences, famous scientists, and youth. The best researchers of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus will be awarded. On this day at 10.00 (Independence Av., 66, first floor hall) the opening ceremony of the First Exhibition-Forum of the IT Academy «Artificial Intelligence in Belarus» will take place, which will run for two days. On the eve of the Day of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, all organizations host open days, significant events: scientific and scientific-practical conferences, seminars, round tables, presentations of the new scientific publications. On the Day of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, the guests of the Academy will be able to see exhibition stands, where photocopies of documents reflecting the process of formation of the Academy of Sciences will be presented.

The decision of the Bureau of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus dated July 20, 2022 to consider October 13 as the Day of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus is not accidental. It was on October 13, 1928, as shown by the latest results of scientific research by scientists from the Institute of History and previously unknown archival documentary materials, that the decision of the Central Executive Committee and the Council of People's Commissars of the BSSR was adopted on the reorganization of the Institute of Belarusian Culture into the Belarusian Academy of Sciences. And already on October 14, 1928, the resolution of the Central Executive Committee and the Council of People's Commissars of the BSSR was published in the central newspapers of Belarus. In December 1928, the Council of People's Commissars of the BSSR approved the Presidium of the Belarusian Academy of Sciences. The Charter of the Belarusian Academy of Sciences and the first composition of its academicians were also approved. On January 1, 1929, on the day of the 10th anniversary of the formation of the Belorussian SSR and the Communist Party of Belarus, the grand opening of the Belorussian Academy of Sciences took place in Minsk.
