On October 11, 2022, during the official visit of the President of the Republic of Belarus A.G. Lukashenko to the Republic of Tajikistan, an Agreement on scientific cooperation was signed between the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan and the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus on training personnel in the field of virology, microbiology, molecular biology, epidemiology, biotechnology and pharmacology.
By agreement between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus and the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, the Agreement was signed on behalf of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus V.V.Makei.
The main purpose of the Agreement is to train personnel in the field of virology, microbiology, molecular biology, epidemiology, biotechnology and pharmacology, as well as to carry out the scientific, technical and innovative activities, experimental development, testing in the field of the new technologies and materials in the following areas: gene diagnostics and gene therapy, chemical and biological synthesis of medicines and food additives, protein preparations and composites with the specified functional properties, development of proposals for measures to counter the acts of bioterrorism, study of biodiversity, nanotechnology based on proteins and nucleic acids, development and production of diagnostic products in the interests of medicine and public health.
