The delegation of the Republican Unitary Enterprise «Scientific and Practical Center of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus on Agriculture» headed by Director General Fedor Privalov took part in the V Vavilov International Scientific Conference dedicated to the 135th birthday of the outstanding scientist — botanist, geneticist, founder of the world collection of cultural plants Academician Nikolai Ivanovich Vavilov.

At the opening of the international conference, the Director General of the Center, F.I. Privalov, made a welcoming speech, emphasizing the important role of plant genetic resources in ensuring food security, as well as the priorities of cooperation between the All-Russian Institute of Plant Breeding and the Scientific and Practical Center on Agriculture in the field of collecting, studying and preserving plant genetic resources. The conference was attended by leading scientists from Russia, Armenia, Kazakhstan, and Belarus. The experts discussed ways to solve global problems of improving the quality and productivity of agricultural crops and involving new crops in economic turnover.
