By order of the Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus Vladimir Gusakov, the Special Prize of the Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus 2022 was awarded to the Chief Researcher of the Center for Belarusian Culture, Language and Literature Researches of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Doctor of Philology, Professor, Academician Vladimir Vasilyevich Gnilomedov for a series of works «Literature, history, consciousness as factors of the formation of the Belarusian statehood». The decision was made in accordance with the recommendation of the Bureau of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.

The Special Prize of the Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus was established in 2021. Its purpose is to reward outstanding results of scientific research, discoveries and achievements in the field of fundamental and applied scientific research. The Special Prize can be awarded both to individuals (individual scientists or author teams working at the Academy of Sciences) and to legal entities (organizations of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus or their structural divisions).
