On December 7, 2022, the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus summed up the results of the competition for prizes for young scientists of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus in 2022.
In accordance with the Regulations on Prizes for young scientists of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, it was decided to award:
the Academician Zhores I. Alferov Prize for young scientists of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus in 2022:
to Zhidko Tatiana Vladimirovna, engineer of the Institute of Chemistry of New Materials of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, to Protasena Tatiana Anatolyevna, senior researcher of the Institute of Applied Physics of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Candidate of Technical Sciences, to Ratutskaya Diana Sergeevna, leading engineer of the open joint stock company «NPO Center» – for the series of works «Development of materials, equipment and means of technological and metrological equipment for extrusion printing in additive manufacturing»;
to Lapitskaya Vasilina Alexandrovna, researcher of the Institute of Heat and Mass Transfer named after A.V. Lykov of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Candidate of Technical Sciences, for the series of works «Comprehensive assessment of physical and mechanical properties and crack resistance of materials of nano- and microelectronics, ceramics and coatings by probe methods for various functional purposes».
The winners of the Academician Vasily F. Kuprevich Prize for young scientists of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus in 2022 were:
Abashkin Viktor Mikhailovich, researcher at the Institute of Biophysics and Cell Engineering of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, for the series of works «Biomedical application of metal-containing nanostructures»;
Kulagova Ekaterina Petrovna, researcher at the Scientific and Practical Center of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus on Food, for the series of works «Technology of production of apple distillates using complex processing of secondary raw materials of winemaking»;
Nikolaichuk Victoria Victorovna, junior researcher at the Institute of Chemistry of New Materials of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, for the series of works «Polysaccharides and polyoxyalkanoates as a basis for obtaining biocompatible materials for medicine, veterinary medicine and agriculture»;
Filipovich Tatyana Aleksandrovna, researcher at the Institute of Physiology of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, for the series of works «Regulation of respiration in normal and apnea modeling».
It was decided to award the Academician Vsevolod M. Ignatovsky Prize for young scientists of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus in 2022:
to Kapliev Alexey Alexandrovich, senior researcher at the Institute of History of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Candidate of Historical Sciences, for the series of works «Formation of Soviet healthcare in Belarus»;
to Shevchenko Yana Sergeevna, a researcher at the Center for the Belarusian Culture, Language and Literature Researches of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, – for the series of works «Wild flora in traditional representations and modern life of Belarusians».
The prizes for young scientists of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus were established in 2019 in order to support and encourage talented young scientists working in organizations of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, stimulate their creative initiative, strengthen human resources, perpetuate the memory of outstanding Belarusian scientists and popularize knowledge about the history of Belarusian science.
The system of prizes for young scientists includes three nominal prizes:
the Academician Zhores I. Alferov Prize – in the field of physics, mathematics, informatics, physical and technical and technical sciences (the number of prizes awarded is 2);
the Academician Vasily F. Kuprevich Prize – in the field of biology, chemistry and Earth sciences, medicine, agricultural sciences (the number of prizes awarded is 4);
the Academician Vsevolod M. Ignatovsky Prize – in the field of humanities and social sciences (the number of prizes awarded is 2).
In total, 8 prizes are awarded in the amount of 15 basic salaries each.
