Scientists of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus awarded medals of the Kurchatov Institute

Representatives of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus took part in an extended session of the Academic Council of the Kurchatov Institute, which was held in Moscow.

It was dedicated to the topic of modern trends in the development of nuclear medicine and is among the events dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the center and the 120th anniversary of academicians I. V. Kurchatov and A. P. Alexandrov, which are celebrated in 2023. On the stage of the House of Scientists, Mikhail Kovalchuk, President of the Kurchatov Institute, and Marat Kambolov, Director of the Institute, presented a number of awards. Thus, Deputy Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus Alexander Kilchevsky was awarded the Kurchatov Medal of the first degree for outstanding contribution to the development of the Institute. Andrei Kuzmin, Director General of the United Institute of Energy and Nuclear Research - Sosny of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, was awarded the Alexandrov Medal of the second degree. Academician-Secretary of the Department of Medical Sciences of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus Vasily Bogdan was awarded the Medal of Services for the Kurchatov Institute. The anniversary exhibition Life for Science dedicated to the 120th anniversary of the founder and first director of the Institute of Atomic Energy Igor Vasilyevich Kurchatov has started working in the Academician A.P. Alexandrov House of Scientists of the Kurchatov Institute. Deputy Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus A. Kilchevsky (pictured with colleagues) got acquainted with the exposition.
