The Intellectual Belarus exhibition opened on February 16 in Gomel at the regional center of the Olympic Reserve in athletics. The ceremony was attended by the First Deputy Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Academician Sergey Chizhik.

At the exhibition, 160 organizations from all over the country presented more than 600 exhibits that tell about high-tech solutions in the field of energy, ecology, pharmacy, medicine, agriculture, IT technologies, robotics, defense, etc.

Gomel Region has a serious scientific and technical sector, including 8 universities, 3 institutes of the National Academy of Sciences, more than 20 branch institutes and design bureaus, which involve about 3 thousand researchers.

The Intellectual Belarus exhibition was organized on behalf of the Head of State on the eve of the Day of Belarusian Science in Minsk. The latest developments and achievements of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, organizations of other institutions, including the ministries of Education, Health, Industry, the State Committee on Science and Technology and others were demonstrated there. At the meeting on January 24, the President of Belarus said that the exhibition of scientific and technical achievements should be shown to young people and demonstrated in the regions of the country. The exposition will be open in Gomel until February 19.
