The Congress of Young Scientists of Belarus and Russia is being held at the premises of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. On March 28, 2023, breakout sessions on the Belarusian-Russian youth scientific cooperation were held in the Academy's organizations. About 500 researchers from two countries took part in them.

Academician Vladimir Gusakov, Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, opened the session of the section Humanities as the Basis of National Security, which was held at the Institute of History of the NAS of Belarus and made a report to young scientists on the Socio-Economic Model of the Republic of Belarus. Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus Vladimir Gusakov told reporters that cooperation between young scientists of Belarus and Russia will help achieve breakthrough results. "The cooperation of scientists from our countries is of particular importance, since we have similar tasks and problems, we have no contradictions, we are united in our approaches and aspirations. We must not lag behind the global trends in science. This is very important for the sustainable future of the country, the development of the economy and society. Of course, it's up to the youth," Vladimir Gusakov said.

In total, seven sections on the main areas of scientific cooperation between young scientists of Belarus and Russia were organized within the framework of the Congress. The section Physics and Artificial Intelligence worked at the premises of the United Institute of Informatics Problems of the NAS of Belarus; the section Technical Sciences and Industry worked in the Physico-Technical Institute of the NAS of Belarus; the section Chemistry and Environmental Management at the premises of the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry of the NAS of Belarus; the section Modern Biotechnologies in the Institute of Genetics and Cytology of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus; the section Medicine and Pharmacy at the Institute of Physiology of the NAS of Belarus and the section Innovations for Agriculture at the premises of the Scientific and Practical Center of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus on Food. The Congress participants not only listened to the reports of the leading scientists of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus on the topics of the sections, but also got acquainted with the work of scientific organizations. For them, excursions were organized to laboratories, production sites, museums in the venues of sectional meetings. A tour of the Central Botanical Garden of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus was also held.

From March 27 to April 1, 2023, a Congress of young scientists of Belarus and Russia is being held at the premises of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, dedicated to the Day of Unity of the Peoples of Belarus and Russia. The decision to hold the Congress was made by the Heads of State of Belarus and Russia in December 2022.
