On October 20-21, 2023, the 6th IAAS scientific conference on digital materials science Modeling of Synthesis and Destruction of Materials was held. First Deputy Chairman of the Presidium of the NAS of Belarus Sergey Chizhik addressed the audience with a welcoming speech at the grand opening.
The forum was held jointly by the NAS of Belarus (organized by the Institute of Applied Physics), the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Kurchatov Institute under the auspices of the International Association of the Academies of Sciences.
Traditionally, the IAAS scientific conference highlights the issues of artificial intelligence (AI) in materials science and covers digital modeling at various structural levels of matter (multiphysics modeling): from first principles modeling based on density functional theory (DFT) and molecular dynamics modeling (MD) to phase field method modeling, macrokinetic and thermodynamic modeling. This year there are new topics related to mineralogy and geology, based on crystallography of nanostructures and principles of physico-chemical analysis, and also related to finite element modeling involving artificial intelligence methods and others.
Reports of scientists from Russia, Belarus, China, India, Germany, Egypt and other countries were presented at the 6th IAAS scientific conference on digital materials science Modeling of Synthesis and Destruction of Materials.
