On May 29, a Chinese delegation consisting of representatives of the Shanghai City Hall and the Shanghai Modern Agricultural Investment & Development Group Co., Ltd agro-industrial company, headed by a representative of the Mayor Peng Chenlei, visited the NAS of Belarus.

During the visit, the delegation was familiarized with the main activities and developments of the organizations of the NAS of Belarus at the permanent exhibition of the NAS of Belarus Achievements of National Science for Production. Negotiations were also held on the development of cooperation between the NAS of Belarus and organizations of Shanghai with Deputy Chairman of the Presidium of the NAS of Belarus Pyotr P. Kazakevich. During the meeting, Peng Chenlei presented possible areas of cooperation, and also expressed readiness and interest in cooperation in all areas in the field of agriculture. In turn, Pyotr P. Kazakevich spoke about the cooperation of the NAS of Belarus with Chinese partners, and also made a presentation on the achievements of the organizations of the NAS of Belarus in the field of agriculture in the Republic of Belarus. At the end of the meeting, Peng Chenlei invited the delegation of the NAS of Belarus to visit Shanghai for a detailed study of specific joint projects and contracts.
