NAS of Belarus presents about 60 innovative developments and technologies at TIBO-2024

At the XXX International Forum on Information and Communication Technologies TIBO-2024, 18 organizations of the NAS of Belarus present about 60 innovative developments and technologies. At the stand of the NAS of Belarus, it will be possible to get acquainted with current developments in the field of information and digital technologies, as well as a number of exhibits that demonstrate the history of technology development in the field of communications and telecommunications.

Sergey Chizhik, First Deputy Chairman of the Presidium of the NAS of Belarus, took part in the official opening ceremony of the exhibition. The Minister of Defense of the Republic of Belarus Viktor Khrenin got acquainted with the developments of scientists at the stand of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.

The United Institute of Informatics Problems of the NAS of Belarus presents a micromodule for operational recognition, selection and compression of video information on board small spacecraft (Micromodule). The micromodule is designed to expand the capabilities of complex miniaturization and functional load of onboard equipment of small spacecraft. The developed prototype surpasses existing analogues in a group of parameters: weight, dimensions, power consumption, processing speed of one frame, cost and some others.
Minsk Research Institute of Radiomaterials of the NAS of Belarus presented an optical element made of leucosapfyre (leucosapfyre, or synthetic corundum, is one of the hardest and most durable synthetic materials). This element is used for the manufacture of optical products: (lens diameter 2.6 mm; minimum size of the topology element 1 micrometre; defect-free chrome coating).
The Institute of Physics named after B.I. Stepanov of the NAS of Belarus demonstrates a software and hardware complex for forensic purposes based on a digital camera to determine the dimensional parameters of objects. It is intended for photographing objects or areas of terrain in order to carry out linear measurements while ensuring investigative actions at the scene of accidents.

Among the promising developments of the organizations of the NAS of Belarus are a complex of robotic hyperspectral scanning (State Research and Production Association Optics, Optoelectronics and Laser Technology), a unified automated system for collecting and processing information on water, heat and electricity consumption (UASC, ЕАСС) in organizations of the NAS of Belarus (Institute of Energetics of the NAS of Belarus), an interactive calculator of physical development and nutrition of a child (Institute of Biochemistry of Biologically Active Compounds of the NAS of Belarus) and others.

The XXX International Forum on Information and Communication Technologies TIBO-2024 is taking place from 5 to 8 June in Minsk.
