On August 5, 2024, the NAS of Belarus was visited by a delegation of the Kimberley Process Certification Scheme* headed by the Chairman of the Kimberley Process – the Chief Executive Officer of the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre Ahmed Bin Sulayem (UAE). A meeting was held with First Deputy Chairman of the Presidium of the NAS of Belarus Sergey Chizhik. During the negotiations, issues related to artificial intelligence were discussed.

On August 5, 2024, the Executive Chairman of the international Kimberley Process Certification Scheme, Ahmed Bin Sulayem, paid an official visit to the Republic of Belarus. The purpose of Ahmed Bin Sulayem's visit is to get acquainted with the Republic of Belarus, which has been an active member of the Kimberley Process Certification Scheme (KPCS) for more than 20 years (on the basis of Edict of the President of the Republic of Belarus of April 8, 2003 No. 146).

*The Kimberley Process is an international certification scheme regulating the trade in rough diamonds, established to prevent the trafficking of conflict diamonds and protect the legitimate trade in rough diamonds.
