On September 18, 2024, the Yanka Kupala Institute of Literary Studies of the Centre for the Belarusian Culture, Language and Literature Researches of the NAS of Belarus hosted the presentation of the 2nd volume of a new scientifically commented Collection of works in 12 volumes by the classic of Belarusian literature Kuźma Chorny. The book, prepared at the Institute of Literary Studies in the fullest possible volume, taking into account the achievements of modern textual criticism, was published by the Belaruskaya Navuka Publishing House. The volume consists of short stories from 1926–1931, printed in accordance with the last creative will of the author, scientific comments (historical and literary, textual, real), language variants and variant readings.

The event was attended by scientists, writers, cultural and public figures. As part of the presentation, the opening of the book exhibition The Belarusian Universe of Kuźma Chorny took place, at which rare editions of the writer's legacy from the collections of the library of the Institute of Literary Studies were presented.
