The delegation of the NAS of Belarus took part in the Russia and Belarus: Common History, Common Destiny second Forum of the Union State, which was held on October 2–4, 2024 in Kaliningrad at the Immanuel Kant Baltic State University. The event was organized by the Institute of History of the NAS of Belarus, the Centre for International Cooperation of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation and the Historical Memory Foundation.

The key task of the Forum is to promote the preservation of common historical memory in Russia and Belarus, to give a new impetus to joint work to counter attempts to falsify history and revise the results of the World War II.

Chief Scientific Secretary V. L. Gurski delivered a welcoming speech at the plenary session. Presentations were also made by V. L. Lakiza, M. G. Zhilinski, I. L. Kapylow, M. L. Mysliviets, P. A. Trubchyk, S. S. Juretski, A. V. Vajtsiakhovich, N. Ja. Novik and others. A number of agreements have been signed between Belarusian and Russian scientific organizations.
