On November 20–21, 2024, the NAS of Belarus hosted a meeting of the Joint Russia-Belarus Working Group on the preparation of proposals on the list of promising programs of the Union State and the development of cooperation between enterprises of the Roscosmos State Corporation and the NAS of Belarus.

The meeting discussed the results of the work under the Complex-US (Комплекс-СГ) program, various aspects of the implementation at enterprises of Belarus and Russia of the results obtained within the framework of the completed programs of the Union State, Technology-US (Технология-СГ) and Integration-US (Интеграция-СГ), as well as joint proposals for new programs Development of elements of on-board facilities and equipment, composite materials and structures in the interests of increasing the service life and constructive perfection of promising space facilities, including for deep space exploration (Resource-US, Ресурс-СГ), Development of basic elements of forest fire forecasting systems, identification of their foci, determination of propagation trends, damage assessments based on forest management and space monitoring data using promising target equipment of Earth remote sensing spacecraft (Spacewatch-US, Космодозор-СГ) and issues of formation of promising projects in the field of materials and coatings, as well as basic production processes that ensure the integrated development of rocket and space technology, standardization of space technology, monitoring of near-Earth space, etc.

On behalf of the NAS of Belarus, the meeting was attended by First Deputy Chairman of the Presidium of the NAS of Belarus, Academician Siargiej Chyzhyk, Head of the Department of Space Activities of the Apparatus of the NAS of Belarus, Academician (Co-Chairman of the Working Group) Piotr Vitsiaź, employees of the NAS of Belarus and subordinate organizations. Yurij Makarov, Director of the Strategic Planning Department of the Roscosmos State Corporation (Co-Chairman of the Working Group), and employees of the specified division took part in the work on behalf of the Roscosmos State Corporation, as well as representatives of the Khrunichev State Research and Production Space Centre, Central Research Institute for Machine Building, Tekhnomash Scientific Production Association, JSC Kompozit, Russian Space Systems Company. Aleksej Kubrin, Deputy Secretary of State and member of the Standing Committee of the Union State, and Piotr Antipin, Assistant Secretary of State of the Union State, took part in the meeting on behalf of the Standing Committee of the Union State.
