On December 27, 2024, the NAS of Belarus hosted an official event dedicated to the New Year holidays. The Deputy Chairman of the Presidium of the NAS of Belarus, Academician Siargiej Chyzhyk addressed the audience with a welcoming speech. He briefly summarized the results of the outgoing year and cordially congratulated all the staff of the Academy of Sciences on the New Year and Christmas. Congratulations were delivered by Ivan Baranowski, Chairman of the United Branch Trade Union Organization of Workers of the NAS of Belarus, Julija Kachurka, Chairman of the primary organization of the Belarusian Women's Union of the NAS of Belarus, and Maksim Kuchvaĺski, Deputy Chairman of the Council of Young Scientists. Congratulations from President of the Republic of Belarus Aliaksandr Lukashenka were presented to a large group of scientists. A total of 28 people from the NAS of Belarus received congratulations from the Head of State.

On New Year's Eve, the best scientists were awarded Academy prizes. At the official event, Deputy Chairman of the Presidium of the NAS of Belarus, Academician Siargiej Chyzhyk presented the prizes of the NAS of Belarus for young scientists in 2024.

A wonderful concert was waiting for all the participants of the celebration! Not only the choir of the Centre for the Belarusian Culture, Language and Literature Researches of the NAS of Belarus, but also the staff of the Academy of Sciences and the young pupils of kindergarten No. 434 demonstrated their skills.
