On January 22, 2025 at 13:00, the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus invites to attend a unique event dedicated to space, which will be held as part of the exhibition "MY BELARUS" at Minsk International Exhibition Center (Minsk, Pavlina Medelka St., 24). This is a rare opportunity to immerse in the world of space research and achievements, learn about the contribution of Belarusian scientists to space exploration, and meet real cosmonauts.
Event program:
13.00 – Quiz "The Contribution of Belarusians to Space Exploration" - Alexandra Smagina: An interactive quiz that will show the achievements of Belarusians in space exploration.
13.30 – Lecture "On the bioanalogue of lactoferrin from a person who has been in space" - Alexander Budevich: Learn about important scientific experiments and their results in space conditions.
14.00 – Lecture “From Sandpaper to Jewelry – Bright Facets of Silicon Carbide” – Valentina Shcherbakova: Discover the properties of silicon carbide and its applications.
14.30 – Lecture "Optics from Plato to the Mobile Phone" - Dmitry Nesterovich: a journey through the history of optics from antiquity to the present day.
15.00 – Meeting with the members of the prime crew of the 21st expedition to the ISS – Oleg Novitsky and Marina Vasilevskaya: An opportunity to ask questions and learn about life on the space station.
