Visiting press event at the SPC of the NAS of Belarus for Agricultural Engineering
On April 4, 2025, the NAS of Belarus together with the National Press Center of the Republic of Belarus held a visiting press event for Belarusian media at the SPC of the NAS of Belarus for Agricultural Engineering. The focus was on the contribution of Belarusian science to the development of the country's agricultural and industrial sector and the latest developments of scientists for the AIC. The press tour participants visited a number of laboratories, a museum, the Center’s soil channel, an exhibition of agricultural machinery, and the Experimental Plant. The General Director of the Center Dmitry Komlach, the Scientific Secretary Andrey Perepechaev, the Head of the Laboratory for Engineering of Milk and Beef Production Processes Evgeny Zhilich, the Director of the Experimental Plant Alexander Bliznyuk spoke about innovative developments, the problem of import substitution, and cooperation with the Russian Federation.
Speaking about cooperation with Russian colleagues, the Director General of the SPC of the NAS of Belarus for Agricultural Engineering Dmitry Komlach said that Belarusian and Russian scientists will cooperate in robotization of farms and gardening processes. "A good foundation was laid during the implementation of previous Union State programs. Now two programs have been selected - "Digital Farm" and "Digital Gardening", - said Dmitry Komlach. In animal husbandry, we are talking about the automation of care for farm animals. Work on some projects is already underway. It is planned to develop and master in production a range of machinery and equipment that will be able to perform the necessary activities without human participation, including distribution of feed, cleaning of premises. Today, more than 50 percent of agricultural machinery and equipment manufactured by enterprises of the Ministry of Industry and the Ministry of Agriculture and Foodstuffs has been developed in the center or with its participation.
