A press conference was held to mark World Aviation and Cosmonautics Day
On April 10, 2025, a press conference dedicated to World Aviation and Cosmonautics Day was held at the National Press Center of the Republic of Belarus. The press conference was attended by: Marina Vasilevskaya, the first Belarusian female cosmonaut, Hero of Belarus; Pyotr Vityaz, Head of the Aerospace Activities Department of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Academician of the NAS of Belarus; Ivan Bucha – Deputy Head of the Aerospace Activities Department of the NAS of Belarus; Sergey Zolotoy – Director of UE “Geoinformation Systems” of the NAS of Belarus and Irina Kazachok – Leading Specialist of the Aerospace Activities of the NAS of Belarus.
During the press event, scientists from the Academy of Sciences presented Belarus' achievements in space technology, talked about the development of a scientific program and experiments during the flight of the first cosmonaut of Belarus Marina Vasilevskaya to the ISS, the results of the flight, and much more. At the end of the press conference, the scientists answered numerous questions from journalists.
