A delegation from Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology visited the NAS of Belarus
On May 12, 2025, as part of the official visit to the Republic of Belarus of the General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam To Lam, the NAS of Belarus was visited by a delegation of Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology headed by Vice President of VAST Tran Tuan Anh.
During the meeting of the delegation with the First Deputy Chairman of the Presidium of the NAS of Belarus S. Chizhik, the parties discussed:
holding thematic online workshops to prepare joint projects that will form the basis of the new Roadmap for the development of cooperation between the organizations of the NAS of Belarus and VANT;
holding competitions for joint projects and increasing the number of projects financed within the framework of competitions;
expansion of interaction between academies through the International Association of Academies of Sciences, etc.
The parties have identified the following priority areas for cooperation development: optical, laser, and LED technologies; functional magnetic materials; graphite/graphene-based materials; functional coatings; metal-polymer complexes; biodegradable packaging; development of technologies for recycling plastic waste and mineral resources; water purification; cellular biotechnology; organomineral fertilizers; plant growth and protection regulators; creation of a Vietnamese corner in the Central Botanical Garden of the NAS of Belarus; mutual participation of Vietnamese and Belarusian specialists in master's and postgraduate programs in Belarus and Vietnam, etc.
