The delegation of the NAS of Belarus took part in the XVIII Forum of Creative and Scientific Intellectuals of the CIS Member States
The delegation of the NAS of Belarus headed by the Chief Scientific Secretary of the NAS of Belarus Vasily Gursky took part in the XVIII Forum of Creative and Scientific Intellectuals of the CIS Member States “Commonwealth of Independent States: New Horizons of Cooperation”, which was held on May 14-15, 2025 in Dushanbe.
Vasily Gursky and the director of Yakub Kolas Institute of Linguistics of the NAS of Belarus Igor Kopylov made presentations at a meeting dedicated to modern trends in science and education. The delegation members also took part in a meeting of representatives of the CIS Academies of Sciences chaired by the President of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan, Kabiljon Khushvakht. The issues of further development of inter-academic scientific cooperation were discussed. Negotiations were held with the President of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan Kabiljon Khushvakht.
On May 14-15, the 18th Forum of Creative and Scientific Intellectuals of the CIS was held in Dushanbe, with about 200 representatives of the Commonwealth countries arriving in the capital of Tajikistan to participate. The topic of the current XVIII Forum is "The Commonwealth of Independent States: New Horizons of Cooperation". The central panel discussion was devoted to the contribution of the peoples of the Commonwealth to the Great Victory. The Forums of Scientific and Creative Intellectuals of the CIS are the largest annual humanitarian events in the Commonwealth.
