Veterinary scientists from Belarus and China have opened a joint laboratory for the prevention and control of animal diseases
On August 12, the Presidium of the NAS of Belarus hosted the grand opening of Belarusian-Chinese Joint Laboratory for the Prevention and Control of Animal Diseases. Its founders are S. Vyshelesskiy Institute of Experimental Veterinary Science of the NAS of Belarus and Shanghai Veterinary Research Institute of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences and scientific and technical company “Weilai Technology”. The symbolic ribbon was cut by the heads of scientific institutions – Dmitry Borisovets and Mr. Ma Zhiyuan. Let us recall that this May, Belarusian veterinarians already visited Shanghai. As D. Borisovets noted, the plans include the development of international standards, exchange of experience in disease prevention and control, as well as the development of prevention and control of important transboundary animal diseases. “By combining our potential and resources, we will be able to achieve success in the fight against common threats,” D. Borisovets summed up.
