The NAS of Belarus and the Ministry of Energy signed a cooperation program for 2026-2030

The National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and the Ministry of Energy of Belarus signed a program of key areas of cooperation for 2026-2030. The document was signed by the heads of the two agencies, Vladimir Karanik and Denis Moroz.

The document outlines a wide range of areas for bilateral cooperation: from radioactive waste management and nuclear technology development to improving the efficiency of thermal power plants, water treatment, and advanced peat processing.

Special emphasis is placed on developing new areas of cooperation: energy storage systems, digital solutions, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity.

Today, the Ministry of Energy is holding a meeting of the Scientific and Technical Council with the participation of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. Representatives from academic institutions—the Institute of General and Inorganic Chemistry, V. Kuprevich Institute of Experimental Botany, the Institute of Nature Management, the Joint Institute for Power and Nuclear Research (Sosny), and the Physicotechnical Institute—are participating. Representatives also include energy system organizations— SPA “Belenergo”, “BelRAO”, “BELTEI”, Research Institute “Belgiprotopgaz”, and “Belenergosetproekt”.
