1On November 11, 2020, a signing ceremony for a Memorandum of Cooperation between the Executive Committee of the Commonwealth of Independent States and the International Association of Academies of Sciences took place at the CIS headquarters.

The document was signed by the Head of the International Association of Academies of Sciences, Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Academician Vladimir Gusakov, and the First Deputy Chairman of the CIS Executive Committee, Viktor Guminsky.

The purpose of the document is to create favorable conditions for the development and coordination of international cooperation in the field of fundamental science, to deepen integration processes in the scientific sphere, and to promote the formation of an innovation space within the Commonwealth of Independent States.
