The Federal National-Cultural Autonomy "Belarusians of Russia" donated rare historical and cultural publications and documents to the NAS of Belarus

Today, a working meeting was held between Vladimir Karanik, Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, and Sergei Kandybovich, Chairman of the Federal National-Cultural Autonomy "Belarusians of Russia." During the meeting, rare historical and cultural publications and documents from the 18th to early 20th centuries, acquired from private collections, were donated to the Academy of Sciences.

"The presented volumes and archival documents are of significant scientific value to historians, ethnographers, local historians, and a wide range of researchers. I am confident that this initiative will significantly enrich our library and archival collections and will be a valuable contribution to the development of scientific research and the strengthening of cultural and historical ties between fraternal peoples," Vladimir Karanik emphasized.

Among the presented publications were: “Gomel Folk Songs” (Belarusian and Little Russian), “Universal” (a rare historical document from the era of the Targowica Confederation), “Essays on the History of the Lithuanian-Russian State up to and including the Union of Lublin”, “Historical and Legal Materials Extracted from the Registers of Vitebsk and Mogilev Provinces”, etc.
