The Academy of Sciences and the Ministry of Agriculture of Kaluga Region of Russia discussed prospects for cooperation
Today, the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus hosted a working meeting between Deputy Chairman of the Presidium of the NAS Petr Kazakevich and a delegation from Russia's Kaluga Region, led by Minister of Agriculture Alexander Efremov.
The parties discussed promising areas of mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation and exchanged views on the current state of the agricultural sector in Belarus and Kaluga Region.
Particular attention was paid to the implementation of innovative technologies in agriculture, including smart farming, digitalization, and biotechnology.
Petr Kazakevich noted the high potential for cooperation with Kaluga Region in agriculture, emphasizing the importance of scientific support for the agricultural sector.
"We are ready to share our experience in breeding and genetics, as well as our developments in the effective protection of agricultural crops," he said.
