The Academy of Sciences discussed the prospects for the development of cycling in Belarus
Today, a working meeting was held at the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus between Deputy Chairman of the Presidium of the NAS Alexei Trukhanov and Head Coach of the National Cycling Team and Chairperson of PA “Belarusian Cycling Federation” Natalia Tsilinskaya. The meeting focused on the prospects for the development of cycling in Belarus, including the implementation of innovative scientific developments to improve the effectiveness of training and prevent athlete injuries.
Alexey Trukhanov expressed the Academy of Sciences' readiness to provide comprehensive support to the Federation, particularly in the area of scientific research that could contribute to achieving high results on the international stage. "The integration of cutting-edge scientific research in genetics, physiology, biomechanics, and even seemingly distant disciplines such as materials science and information technology can become the catalyst that will propel athletes to new levels," he said.
Natalia Tsilinskaya, in turn, shared her vision for the development of cycling, outlining the key tasks and challenges facing the federation. She emphasized the importance of collaborating with scientists from the NAS of Belarus to develop a new generation of talented athletes and ensure their long-term success. "In today's world, we see athletes achieving truly incredible results: reaching cosmic speeds and performing incredible jumps. To continue moving forward and setting new records, all elements must work in unison, and here, in my opinion, we cannot do without science and a scientific approach to training," she said.
