The 3rd International Conference "Lasers, Semiconductor Emitters, and Systems Based on Them" opened today at the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus

The 3rd International Conference "Lasers, Semiconductor Emitters, and Systems Based on Them" opened today at the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. Nearly 100 scientists and researchers from Belarus, Russia, Azerbaijan, Mongolia, and China are participating.

Alexander Shumilin, Academician-Secretary of the Department of Physics, Mathematics, and Computer Science of the NAS of Belarus, spoke to the conference guests and participants with a welcoming address. He emphasized that this event is an important platform for the exchange of cutting-edge knowledge and research results in laser physics and semiconductor technology.

"Laser technologies have recently become increasingly important in modern scientific and technological progress and are increasingly used in various sectors of industry, medicine, communications, and defense. The development of semiconductor emitters and systems based on them opens new horizons for innovation and high-tech development," said Alexander Shumilin.

The 3rd International Conference "Lasers, Semiconductor Emitters, and Systems Based on Them" is a continuation of the regularly held Belarusian-Russian Workshop "Semiconductor Lasers and Systems Based on Them," which has a more than thirty-year history and was founded by world-class scientists such as Zhores Alferov, Petr Eliseev, Alexander Nadezhdinsky, and others. Representatives from the NAS, RAS, and other ministries and agencies of Belarus and Russia traditionally participate in its work.
